My advice take the MFS course if they provide the bikes. Unfortunatly its free to me being military. That will get your feet wet. Then go to a dealer and see what your most comfortable on. My supervisor's first bike is a busa and has no probs. Thats what he was most comfortable on being that he's 6'4. Had a 250 ninja and 6 mon later I got an R6. Love the R6 and its a different animal than a 250. If you decide on the R6 be easy on the throttle since it will scare the **** outta ya. It did me.
