Bikers-- Please? be sure to check the organ donor box.
By: DanBarns92. on 19 Apr 12, 01:25:32
Didn't even check his mirrors -sigh- hope you and the bike's ok buddy, I mean? he literally turned so quick after 1 second of his indication, there was no chance.

100%? the cars fault. It's called checking your blind spot JACKASS
By: mossi123uk. on 03 Apr 12, 22:14:32
doubt he was going fast, everything always seems? to be faster on camera

Sorry but you can blame the car driver? all you want, you shouldn't have been "filtering" that quickly, he would never have been able to se you. Filter at that speed and inevitably you will come into a collision.

The only brainless driver here was the biker. You want to start passing people in the turning lane right before? the driving lane opens up to all traffic, it's the chance you take.
By: anooseholay. on 03 Apr 12, 01:43:38
Sorry, but as fast as that bike was coming up on? his blind spot (not to mention passing on the right while not actually in a travel lane) that car didn't have a chance to see the bike coming up on him. Glad to see the rider was not hurt and wearing his gear!

Judging by other 2wheeler (bicycles and motocycles) collision reports on various forums ask the OP in no less? than 2years time, and that's only if it doesn't go to court.

How did the insurance go on this one? 100% his? fault, your fault, or something in between?
By: 2wheelsteve. on 06 Mar 12, 18:34:59
Shit happens mate but you could have avoided it, no oncoming so go wide, no need to be that close and because theres no oncoming there is always a greater chance a car will go for an overtake although that was a lane changeI think, I heard something today and it goes like this, "Ride like theres no tomorrow? and there wont be" good your alright mate.
By: AlfistiKid. on 02 Feb 12, 03:38:23
Jeezo. Glad to hear your alright! You should show this? video to new riders so they know why wearing full protective gear is vital! Loved that guy that hit you though, "you alright mate?" Hmm since you've just hit me and rolled along the road how about NO!

Sorry to see a biker got knocked off by a brainless driver. one thing for sure your exhaust was way too quiet. Get a new aftermarket exhaust without the baffle, at least if you got hit again hehe it will be a deaf bloke hehe.? May the Force be with you

Personally I'd always move to the other side of the hatchings, it's easy to pick up puncture in that area, it also expands your safety bubble etc.? Glad you are OK.
By: RoadcraftNottingham. on 01 Feb 12, 22:31:01
They are essentially the same thing but I personally feel if you're slowly "feeding your way" through very? slow moving traffic, it's filtering.
By: ricktonge. on 01 Feb 12, 22:22:11
To be fair the guy? in the car would never had seen you because you darted past him right in his blind spot, however I bet you he never even looked in his mirror or shoulder checked. The manouver you did there looked to be more like an overtake NOT filtering. If you filter like this you are bound to be knocked off, you have to ride more defensiley.
By: chidlowt. on 01 Feb 12, 22:15:59
How do you differentiate between overtaking and filtering? I thought they were technically the same thing. I'd agree that it was overtaking due to the speed difference between the cars and the bike. Just interested as too where you see the? difference.

Another young car driver. That's why insurance is? so god damn? high. Check your mirrors or risk injuring a rider. How long does it take to check your mirrors?! About two seconds! People are so selfish these days.
By: iffyfart. on 01 Feb 12, 20:15:13
Hey seen this on? 125sbf a while back, how u recovering after this. Tis shit man
By: penguinrobby. on 01 Feb 12, 19:54:11
That's the one you can't do shit!!! :-( Glad you got away with a few bruise's. Get well? soon.
By: AZZ3R1. on 01 Feb 12, 18:44:12
Yarr' lite' M8. Yeah thanks, I'm fine and dandy I'll? get my bike & be on my way. Didn't check mirrors what-soever + he was turning into a right hand turn for the other traffic.
By: RoadcraftNottingham. on 01 Feb 12, 18:22:29
Technically this wasn't filtering, it was overtaking. The car was legally to blame as he changed direction into the bike's? path causing the crash (there's a legal case to prove this in court. If you have a problem with this in court, pm me and I'll send it you). Slowing down a little? and clearing the cars a bit more would have helped. Horrible to see you rolling down the road and glad you're ok buddy
