@wiredkiwi Cool thanks man,yea that's my 68 that we will be lowering the front on.Thanks for the info for the adjusters I? really appreciate the help, now I can't wait to take out my beam.

@twiggyzappa If you are asking about shortening the beam as well then you would? have to move the chassis clamps as well but if you are shortening then take the width of the adjusters plus the amount you are shortening it by. The angle you set them at depends on whether you are lower or raising the front. The instructions that come with the adjusters explain it weel enough to get it right so have a crack at it :)

Yes, well you need a welder and? something to cut the pipes but other than that, just the adjusters. The Empi ones come with instructions so it's hard to get it wrong. Like your black beetle by the way, is that what you are going to lower? I'm definietely going for the removeable rear valance on my next build too.

Awesome skills ,? wish I could weld like that!

@dafrankfuter It gets pretty hot here in the summer months (October to? March) and welding only makes it worse :)

Great video , good job , I have my adjusters but i didn't know how? to put them in. Thanks
By: wiredkiwi. on 17 Mar 11, 05:23:43
You could do that but you can only narrow it so much before you need to slim the shock towers down to stopp? them fouling on the inner guards. The adjusters can be set for drop or rise depending on what you are doing but you start with the moveable piece in the original position of the old fixed one and rotate the body either up or down from that. Don;t worry, the adjusters come with instructions that explain it or jump on the samba website and search it.

My questions are when you're going to narrow the beam,? do you just subtract the shortened length from the cut made for the adjusters? Also how do you know which angles to set the adjusters?

GRET VIDEO MATE, THANKS? A LOT

@wiredkiwi Ok thanks. I think ill? stll put the adjusters in along with the drop spindles. That way I can have a good ride height and easily slamm the front end for shows:)
By: wiredkiwi. on 10 Jan 11, 07:11:55
I'm building a '63 up at the moment and I'm only using dropped spindles without the adjusters and that gives me 2.5 inches and a smoother ride than adjusters. The cut and turn is just as good as adjusters? as most people want 2.5" which is about 1/4" turn but it is a harder ride. This is the only version of the video sorry, I deleted all the raw footage after I made it, but the adjusters came with instructions.

Pretty sweet. I have a 3 inch narrowed beam but someone did a cut ant turn then weld to lower it. They went to far so it has no suspen travel. Balljoints are holding all the weight. Im going to install the adjusters with 2.5 drop spindles with disc brakes. Do you have this vid where you are talking so ill have? a better idea on putting in the adjusters? Thanks Daniel.
