Sure can be tricky with custom seats..my dirtbike seat has a custom design on each side towards the back...challenge to put it on, with dirtbikes there is normally a "flap" that is already placed there...mine doesn't have? it so you need 2 people, one to hold, one to staple. Difficult, but when people see it, they love customs.

wow great job! I did my r1 the old fashion way by buying a few sheets of vinyl from my local fabric store.I too used a hair dryer and my trustee staple gun. It came? out pretty cool although there's one corner that's kinda crumpled up, barely noticeable. Your seat came out dead nuts though.Perfect fit too!

Hey, i was wondering what colors you used for your seat cover, as custom seat creations is not offering samples right now. I have a yellow 06? ninja 250 and thought that the cowl line seat cover would look great on it!

thanks for the tutorial. What kind of seat sealant were you using and where do you get it? Do you? absolutely need it or could you maybe even get away with just stapling it to the bike?

The 3M does help because you don't want any shearing from riding. But just be careful. That stuff is TACKY. Thre is surprisingly little shrinking. So stretch it out good and it should get a nice tight finish. I've done two so far (my 500 and my 250), and pulling a tad tight? certainly doesn't hurt. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

Looks good and good info. I'll be trying to pull this off with my girl friends 09 Ninja 250, but only one color. Does the 3M spay glue help out alot and does that material shrink up pretty good to get a tight fit?? I bought another seat for her bike and just waiting for the? seat cover to get here.
