Must be an easy track because one can never confuse one corner with the other: At corner # 1 the brake marker is a cow shed, corner # 2 you need to start turning in at the lamp post, corner? # 3 has apexes at the viola bucket and the red mail box....... All so very clear ;-)

The white paint used to paint the lines on the TT course is not your usual. It contains an abrasive which gives the surface as much traction if not more than the normal road surface even in the wet. Riders are told this at riders briefing. Riders are also told that if you cross over the? white lines on the side of the road you are officially off the course and and so you use any extra road at your own risk. Thought you might like to know first hand.

They keep the road markings and any over-banding to an absolute minimum. Road repairs are a work of art on the circuit itself. However,? the racers are surely the bravest sportsmen on the planet.

What I want to know is how the heck their tires aren't? losing it on the painted lines. I mean in the US our lines can be so slick the tires break lose going 20mph depending on conditions. Granted they are running race tires and race pressures, but still. Amazing.

I've probably seen hundreds of TT on-board cams goin' over The Mountain - but for some reason? Mr Plater at full-chat is the most Hell-raising, exhilarating & Goddam headmental experience of the lot! I was sad to see him finally hang-up his road racing leathers, but there's only so many broken bones & near-death experiences anybody can take before it ends with a life intact or otherwise.
