If that little cutie dropped her bike if i was there she wouldn't have to? lift her bike. Any real man would help. Good thing to know though. You never know if anybody is going to be around to help.

I should add that I managed to lift it while it was in neutral, it dropped in my garage (I have no crash bars so it fell flat on gravel) and too close to the wall for me to squeeze? my butt inbetween the wall and the bike to lift it with my back leaning on the seat. I had to lift it facing the? bike, but it worked. Kickstart, counterclockwise as much as possible, hand behind the seat, worked my leg in.

This clip just saved my life!!! Not literally perhaps... I'm a shrimp disguised as a woman and I have a Kawasaki W650. I've never been able to lift it until today. It dropped the other way but I used the kickstart and the metal side handles (dno what they're called in English tbh) sticking out behind the seat instead and it worked just fine. Worked my right leg in slowly and when it was pretty much upright I? could sit on it. It feels SO good to know I can do this myself! Yeehaw!!

Those crash bars on the side make the lifting a different ballgame altogether. Try the same technique without those bars, with a bike thats? flat on the ground.

Just dropped mine at the top of an San Francisco HILL! Tried pulling, WRONG..Wish I had seen this, fortunately two guys drove by and helped and only damage was a small scuff on? the engine guard. Well, that's one heavy beast...But I love it...:-)

same principle. once you get it upright, you use your foot to kick the stand back on and let the bike? lean back down on the stand.

what if the bike falls ON? the bike stand?
By: jp1100. on 16 Jan 10, 23:28:10
Harley's have a lower centre of gravity and are therefore easier to lift, any higher/taller? bike with some degree of weight will prove more difficult. So don`t feel too bad about not being able to lift your FZR.
