Hey I got my valves adjusted and timing chain and gears changed out.. Killed about 70% of the? ticking noise.. I think a manual chain tensioner should fix the rest

My dad has this bike but he bought race bike exhausts. He rides it around the phillip island track about every 2? months. He is not aloud to ride on road because he took of all of the road gear

@99600F4 yeah i have the same tick noise on my 2000 R1. I thought somethings wrong with valves or something, but looks? like its normal :)

@99600F4 i"m not sure if its fixable but its pretty normal from my understanding. it would be cool to rip the engine apart and look for the cause but even if you found it how many people would tear the motor apart to fix a tic that wasn't causing any damage? every bike has there? quirks this just seems to be Yamaha's
