very cool, when i was about 15 or so Mom and i took a trip to Juneau all it did was rain...but i loved it and would like to go back hopefully on a bike :)

We started in Key West Florida on January 13th and arrived in Prudhoe Bay on March 2nd in 2009. It was a great experience and I wish you good luck with your KLR - don't forget to take some warm clothes, it gets pretty cold up North ... ;-)

Where did the hard case luggage come from for the R1? I have a CBR1000RR and can't find anything other than soft saddles and tailbags.

If you ask me, I think you should go for it. There might be moments along the way where you regret the decision, e.g. because of a sore bottom or bad weather. But I am sure the total experience will be a lifetime memory. Just take it easy and plan enough time. Wishing you a good trip, Doris P.S.
