@leighsa49 Yep, I am serious. Just got done setting up the new bike, added a 70 Degree Racing subframe tank so it carries a bit over 3 gallons of gas. No noticible difference in the way it feels. The? power is smooth and super strong, the suspension is plush - a bit soft perhaps, but perfect for the rocks and roots of the mountains I ride. I love this bike!!! They share a lot of common XC4 KTM parts - top end, gears, etc. Reliability should be good - like the KTM.

I just bought one of these. - a 2010 FE450. There are screaming deals going on right now. Got mine for $5,495 OTD and before tax from Tri County Powersports in Simi Valley CA. 3 Brothers has a new one for 5.8K OTD before? tax. That is just ridiculous. Can't wait to ride it in the mountains of Colorado where I live. This is going to be quite an upgrade from the DRZ400 (well set up, but heavy) that it is replacing.

@TheOfficialKC many people dont want the power of a? 450 but want something a bit more than a 250F. hence why the suzuki drz400 is currently the best selling trailbike in some parts of the world (altho is great dualsport nature has something to do with it aswell) also the berg 390/ktm 400 weigh the same as their 450 counterparts, because there essentially a 450 with as sleve, stroke remains the same for both. But the 570 berg and the 530 ktm weigh more than the 450's, not a whole lot more tho

Why would I buy a smaller displacement bike? In fact why would I buy a 450. The 570, 450 and 390 all weigh the same. Same goes for KTM. Why did they make a 400? It? weighs the same as the 450 and 530. Only thing I can think of is reliability.

had 3 husabergs an eventually whent to a ktm 525 had it 3 months an now selling to get a husaberg ,bergs were swedish? a group formed off of husky they made a 750 2t back in they 80's never went to production tho lol an its the other way round all a ktm is -is a husaberg ,husabergs rock ,my last was a 2000 fc600 an it litterally smoked everything in its path even trashed a cr500 on it a proper quick bike

I had a ride on the mates 09 berg. the next week i sold? the WR & got the FE450. Be a long time until another manufacturer makes a thumper feel like a 250 smoker :).

This is a really great bike. I haven't ridden very many dirt-bikes, but this one was sweeeet! Correction:? the 390 motor is not 'sleeved-down'; it has a shorter stroke, and the bore is the same as the 450. Whatever, it is a gem of an engine, smooth but snappy... can you tell i'm in love?

Husqvarna started in sweden. They've? been made in Italy for a long time now.
